Àrámìdé: [Ah-rah-mee-day]. Yorùbá meaning: "Here comes my kith and kin."

ÀRÁMMÌDÉ is the knitwear brand launched by London-based conceptual knitwear designer and artist Àrámìdé, who is of Welsh and Yoruba heritage. With a passion for crafting since childhood, Àrámìdé began her journey into the realm of fashion at the age of seven, under the guidance of her grandmother, where she honed her skills in pattern cutting, sewing, and knitting.

She graduated in 2022 from Chelsea College of Art with a BA in Textile Design, specialising in knit.

At the core of her creative ethos lies a deep-seated desire to create empowering garments, drawing inspiration from her heritage and the connection between humanity and nature. Each piece by ÀRÁMMÌDÉ is an experimental, one-of-a-kind creation celebrating ethereal and spiritual themes, radiating vibrancy, joy, and connection. Her designs serve as a celebration of craft-based storytelling and provide a means of expressing diasporic tales.

ÀRÁMMÌDÉ is dedicated to ethical and sustainable practices at every level of production. Garments are made with minimal electricity on domestic knitting machines and are finished by hand. Yarns and fibres are carefully sourced from ethical companies. Off-cuts are repurposed for other garments.

This brand exists for artistic exploration, where tradition, culture, and contemporary expression intertwine to form wearable works of art that resonate with the soul.
